Want to help keep folks in Richmond moving? Do you have a health and fitness program that encourages your neighborhood to get out and get active, but you’re a little short on funding? Then you’re in luck, Sports Backers Keep It Moving mini-grants support programs that are increasing opportunities for physical activity in underserved communities across the Richmond Metropolitan Service Area. If you’ve got a project or a program you know can make Richmonders more active, our mini-grants can help!
By applying for the funding, you could increase the longevity of your program, and be able to afford some much needed material – like equipment, healthy snacks and other items that can lend to the success of your program. So, if you’ve got a program that is assisting a community in need this mini-grant may be for you! Before applying, make sure that your program meets our basic criteria:
- It is offered for at least 12 weeks.
- It takes place in an underserved community.
- The program increases opportunities for community members to be active.
