At Sports Backers, our mission is to inspire people to live actively. Engaging underserved populations is one of our core values and one way we act on this value is by offering Income Based Rates for our events. These special rates are offered to those who qualify and would otherwise not be able to participate.
Those whose maximum annual household income (adjusted gross income) is less than the amount in the chart below are eligible for a special registration rate for all Sports Backers events and training teams. The rate is event/training team specific.

To qualify, participants will be asked to complete the online Income Based Rate application and provide proof of income, in the form of the most recent tax return (Form 1040, not your W2) filled out by you or the individual claiming you. If you do not have your most recent tax return (Form 1040), we may accept certain Social Services verification/eligibility letters (EBT, SNAP, TANF, Energy Assistance Benefits, Medicaid, etc.).
If you are not comfortable submitting your information online you can bring your documentation by our office (100 Avenue of Champions, Richmond, VA 23230) or mail your documentation and completed entry form (found on the “Event Pricing” or “Event Details” page under each event) to Sports Backers, 100 Avenue of Champions, Richmond, VA 23230.
For all submitted documentation please make sure to black out any sensitive information such as your social security number.
Applications must be received by end of day Monday before event day (i.e. Tacky Light Run is Saturday, December 9, applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on Monday, December 4)
