The World Series Finals of Professional Squash Association coming to Richmond, March 15-19, 2014

Richmond-based Pro Squash Promotions, LC announced that they have been fortunate to secure a most prestigious event as a follow up to the elite North American Open played here for many years.

In March we will host the Professional Squash Association World Series Finals.  Therefore, the Top 8 players in the world will be here playing a series of matches which means each day is like a Finals of any other tournament.

FROM QUEEN'S CLUB TO WESTWOOD CLUB.  This event had been held for the past 4 years at the Queen's Club in London, and now we are bringing the event to Richmond. This year will mark the first time this event has ever been played in the United States.

“Shaka and FRIENDS: Smart from the Start”  
We have affiliated with a wonderful charity: FRIENDS Association for Children which is the charity championed by Shaka Smart: “Shaka and FRIENDS: Smart from the Start”.
FRIENDS is a non-profit child and family agency that has served Central Virginia for over 140 years. FRIENDS provides nearly 1,000 children with a broad array of services. Through these services, children gain critical literacy and developmental skills needed to succeed in school and in life.  FRIENDS is located in Jackson Ward and is doing truly wonderful work.

INNER CITY YOUTH…JUNIORS
Just as FRIENDS Association helps children in the Jackson Ward area, we are putting an emphasis on young people.  This year we will have a special junior day on Saturday, March 15, including a “Squash Party”.  In addition, with support from Virginia Squash we will provide free tickets and clinics and “Meet the Pro” for the “Squash Rocks” program which works with inner city youths.
