Run Bike Relay

Events are back! Dive into the summer with Run Bike Relay – a 51.2-mile journey through Richmond broken into stages. Choose to do your race solo, or on a two person team and run and bike your way from City Stadium, through Forest Hill Park, along Buttermilk Trail, to the Manchester Floodwall, to the Virginia Capital Trail, and more! All participants will receive a shirt and a finisher medal. Experience the thrill of riding and running through Richmond at night in a safe, socially distanced environment. We have even more details on all the changes we’re putting into action to make your health and safety our top priority in our event details.

James River Park System and Virginia Capital Trail

Teams of 2 or solo racers will cover 51 miles of trail between Richmond and Henrico and back on a bike and on foot. While your team members is on the course, the other team member will drive ahead to the next transition zone to wait for your teammate to finish. There will be a total of 6 segments, which will include 3 running and 3 biking legs.  The running segments range in length from 4 miles to 6 miles and will largely be on dirt trails.  The biking segments range from 13 miles to 20 miles and will completely be on paved trail. Each team member must complete at least 3 sections of the course, but in any order that they choose.
