Health & Fitness Expo Set for April 10–11
RICHMOND, VA – The Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger returns to Monument Avenue to kick off the spring event season on Saturday, April 12. Organizers are expecting around 25,000 registrants, with registration still open at www.sportsbackers.org.
Now in its 26th year, the 10k has welcomed over half a million participants since its debut in 2000. Once again, the event will host the Collegiate Running Association (CRA) 10k Road Race National Championship, with over 1,700 college athletes competing for $3,500 in prize money awarded to the top collegiate finishers by the CRA.
Last year’s event drew 24,000 runners and walkers, further cementing the 10k’s reputation as a beloved Richmond tradition. With over 90% of participants hailing from the Richmond region, the race is a true community celebration. Support from residents along Monument Avenue adds a festive and welcoming atmosphere year after year. The event also features the Atlantic Union Bank 10k Mini—a one-mile fun run designed for kids. After reaching capacity in 2024, this year’s 10k Mini has expanded to accommodate up to 1,400 participants in response to growing demand.
The Health & Fitness Expo will be held at the infield of the Richmond Raceway on Thursday, April 10, from 3 p.m.-7 p.m., and Friday, April 11 from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. The expo is free and open to the public and will feature over 30 vendors, live music, sponsor giveaways, and food trucks. It also serves as the official packet pick-up location for the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k and the Atlantic Union Bank 10k Mini.. Registration will be available online up until 9:30am on race morning. Participants that register online must pick up their packet. Expo attendees should enter Richmond Raceway using Gate 4 off Laburnum Avenue, or Gate 6 off Carolina Avenue. Free parking is available at the Expo.
All participants are required to present a photo ID or registration QR code to collect their packet. Expo attendees may pick up a packet on behalf of another registered participant, but they must provide a photo of that participant’s photo ID or registrant QR code.
Race-day Packet Pick-Up will be available on Saturday, April 12, from 7:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. It will take place in the lobby of the Siegel Center, adjacent to the start line at Broad St. and Harrison St. A full schedule of events for the 2025 Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k presented by Kroger can be found below, or at https://www.sportsbackers.org/event/ukrops-monument-avenue-10k/event-schedule/.
