Calling all members of the active community! Would you like to be part of a team that helps inspire people from all corners of our community to live actively by leading the area in embracing and celebrating an active lifestyle? Would you like to help Sports Backers promote not only our nationally recognized events, but also our quality programs and initiatives that encourage healthy living right here in our community? Well here is your chance! We are currently accepting applications for our Sports Backers Ambassador Team.

The Sports Backers Ambassador Team is a year-long commitment, starting in April 2026 and running through May 2027. As a member of our Ambassador Team, you will hit the ground running, learning everything there is to know about Sports Backers so that you can help us create active living opportunities for residents in all corners of the Richmond region. In return, you will earn major bragging rights and a variety of perks for your hard work.

Requirements

  • Encouraged to wear Sports Backers apparel to other races and community events.
  • Recruit at least five people to register for a Sports Backers event throughout race season.
  • Volunteer at a Sports Backers event, community tabling, or expo.
  • Positively promote Sports Backers mission and events through your personal social media channels. (Instagram, FB, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, etc.)

  • Free entry into one event of your choice (excluding full training team entries) after committing to a volunteer opportunity with Sports Backers. (If you’re already involved in a regular capacity, please let us know – this will count!)
