How it works:
Be sure to register by December 13, 2025 to join the CarMax Tacky Light Run from anywhere! Create your own tacky course and celebrate the season in style, bringing the fun and festive spirit right to your own door.

The CarMax Tacky Light Run is limited to the first 5,000 registrants.

CarMax Tacky Light Run Virtual Event Participants will be mailed their packets ahead of race day, December 13.

Even if we are not together, we want to see your holiday spirit. So dig out your grandmother’s favorite holiday sweater, charge those battery packs, and wear all the garland you can find. Post a photo or video to share your virtual race experience on social media using the race hashtag (#nevertootacky).
