Join us on November 8, 2025 for the fifth annual Fall Line Trailblazer—a community celebration dedicated to raising awareness and support for the transformational Fall Line! Experience the future of the trail through a series of guided hikes along different sections. Join one, two, or all of them, and see what’s in store for this exciting regional project.
Trailblazer guided hikes
Discover the Fall Line!
Learn about and experience the future of the Fall Line on a series of free, guided hikes led by our Bike Walk RVA team. Each hike will be 2 to 3 miles total, following out-and-back loops along sections of the Fall Line.
The guided hikes are open to everyone! We invite all trail lovers to come out, explore, and celebrate the Fall Line together.

Hike #1
The Southern Point
9:00am | Patton Park in Petersburg
Appomattox River Trail Parking Lot, 527 University Blvd, Petersburg, VA 23803
Join us in Petersburg for a guided walk along the Fall Line. We’ll head north towards Colonial Heights, adjacent to VSU’s campus.

Hike #2
Crossing the James
11:30am | Legend Brewing* in Manchester
321 W 7th St, Richmond, VA 23224
Join us in Manchester for a guided walk along the Fall Line route heading north toward the river. We’ll explore potential spur trail connections and visit the future site of the Manchester Art Park at the south end of the Potterfield Bridge.

Hike #3
Northside Richmond
2:00pm | Sherwood Avenue* in Diamond District
1699 Sherwood Avenue, at the corner of Sherwood Ave and Hermitage Road
Join us in the Diamond District for a guided walk along the Fall Line route, heading north on Hermitage Road. We’ll explore and discuss routing options beneath the I-64 overpass and through the “Five Points” intersection, the future site of a roundabout.
