Building a Vibrant Community is Sports Backers’ 2022-2027 Development Campaign which looks to make a lasting impact on the Richmond Region. Sports Backers is looking to raise $3 million in multi-year pledges. Our community will benefit through the $3 million raised by:
- Growing and creating major events that serve as a gateway to active living, encourage corporate wellness, and promote Richmond as an active, outdoor community
- Doubling the number of free group fitness classes offered in under-resourced communities
- Expanding the number of Kids Run Clubs and adding Kids Fitness Clubs to our offerings
- Doubling the total miles of infrastructure for people walking and biking
- Building the world class 43-mile long Fall Line trail from Ashland to Petersburg
- Engaging with and empowering over 1,800 volunteer leaders
- Awarding college scholarship to future active living leaders in the Richmond region
