May 1: Bike valet at the Richmond Kickers Game

Volunteers will staff the Bike Valet for attendees at the Kickers game. Bike Walk will provide a table, bike racks, and valet materials. Volunteers will be responsible for set up and breakdown and will have free entrance into the game.

May 2: RELAY for Mayo Bridge Bike Lanes

Volunteers can choose from a variety of roles including: being a member of the relay for 1 hour, stoking the vibes and cheering, cooking dinner or breakfast, course marshalling, and set up/break down.

May 6: Bike to School Day in Richmond

Volunteers will help distribute SWAG and cheer on students who walk or roll to school on 5/6. More details will be shared on 5/1 by email.

May 8 and 9: Virginia Capital Trail’s Cap2Cap ride

Volunteers can choose from a variety of roles to support the 21rst Annual Cap2Cap Ride. Opportunities include packet pickup, water stop coordination, event setup/breakdown.

I know that riding, running or walking (or participating) in an event that is organized by grassroots volunteers or independent community partners, which will not have any support or security measures in place by the Metropolitan Richmond Sports Backers, is a potentially hazardous activity. I will not enter and participate unless I am qualified, in good health, medically able, and properly trained.
