Join us for an evening celebrating the current cohort of ALL Star scholar-athletes at the Award Show on Monday, May 11, from 5:30–8:30 PM at the Hippodrome Theater.

Since 1992, Sports Backers and the Richmond Times-Dispatch have partnered to recognize the accomplishments of the region’s best and brightest student-athletes. Over the last 34 years, we have awarded over $1,400,000 to over 600 outstanding student-athletes from the Richmond region. The Active Living Leadership Program, ALL Stars for short, was created to increase the impact of the former Scholar-Athlete program.

We’ve been working with this cohort of ALL Star scholar-athletes since August of 2025 and, during that time, they have been attending educational sessions, experiencing active living initiatives, volunteering with active living organizations, and working to address a need in our community through their capstone projects. They’ve been supported by a team of mentors in addition to the support provided by Sports Backers and the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

We hope that you will join us in celebrating their success by attending the 2026 ALL Stars Awards Show. At the event, we will recognize each ALL Star’s accomplishments, get a first-hand look at the outcomes of their capstone projects, meet the incoming 2026-2027 cohort, and announce our special award winners!

All proceeds from the event will be used to support the ALL Stars program and scholarship fund. Can’t attend? Consider making a donation to the program to support our region’s outstanding student-athlete leaders.
