Roy Grier
Vice President – Workplace Development, Dominion Energy (Retired)
Roy joined the company in 1981 and held a variety of positions with financial, operating, and business responsibilities prior to his retirement in December 2019. He graduated from Davidson College with a bachelor’s degree in economics and earned his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Richmond.
Roy has been involved with Sports Backers since 2007 as both participant and volunteer in many events. He has served as Board Chair, Fundraising Campaign Chair, and Half Marathon Training Team Coach. He has run the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k every year since 2005 and the Richmond Marathon twice. His favorite Sports Backers event is Dominion Energy Riverrock.
