When it comes to advocating for public health and organizing, ShaCoria has a long list of qualifications. She got her Bachelor’s of Science in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech. She then went on to get her Master’s of Public Health in Global Health Epidemiology from Washington University in St. Louis. As the Lead Organizer for Bike Walk RVA she spends the majority of her time expanding our network of grassroots advocates and empowering them to be leaders in the movement towards a walkable, bikeable Richmond region. When she’s not helping build support for safe bike and pedestrian infrastructure she’s serving on the Administration and Finance Team at her ministry, and she also coaches Track and Field at Thomas Dale High School. ShaCoria loves running and HIIT/Bootcamp style training…but afterwards you’ll find her curled up on the couch watching college football or traveling the world with her husband.
