Fitness Warrior Mentor Spotlight: Taimani "Tee" Scott
By Anne Crenshaw
“Be the mentor you wish you had” – Anonymous, is a quote our Fitness Warrior Mentor, Taimani Scott, can relate to. She comes from our first class of Fitness Warriors, where she learned to succeed beyond expectations without any guidance from past classes. You can read all about her fitness journey and her experience of being a mentor to the third class of Fitness Warriors below!
Coming from the first class of Warriors, we did not have a lot of mentors so I wanted to be the positive force that gave future Warriors the push they needed to be successful in their journey into Warrior Nation.
What is your favorite group exercise modality? Any specific favorite workout moves?
Even though dance is my first love, boxing would be my favorite. My favorite move to do is anything with the jump rope. It gives you an amazing workout but makes me feel like a big kid too.
Tell us about a time that made you proud to be a Fitness Warriors mentor.
After the second Warrior class had completed their program, a fellow Warrior that I mentored let me know that they were signing up to be a mentor for the upcoming class because of the positive experience she had with me.
What advice would you give to people just starting their fitness journey?
Just take it one day at a time and it will all fall into place as long as you don’t give up.
Who are some people that have influenced you in this field?
How can people get in contact with you?
