Entertainment and Spirit Contest Waiver
Entertainer and Spirit Group Agreement, Waiver, Release and Acknowledgment:
I, for myself, my group and everyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Metropolitan Richmond Sports Backers and its officers and agents, the Richmond Road Runners Club, the City of Richmond, Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods, Kroger Inc., Atlantic Union Bank, all other sponsors, their representatives and successors including Road Runners Club of America, its officers, directors, agents and employees from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my group’s participation in this event, including without limitation any claims for personal injury, loss of income, and/or property damage, libel, invasion of privacy, or related to the right of publicity.
I understand that if my group decides to provide our own tent or physical structure at the event that I will be responsible for securing all structures from potential hazards including but not limited to wind, and waive all above mentioned organizations from any liability as part of my negligence.
In consideration of my group’s engagement as a performer or Spirit Contest participant at the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k, I hereby grant the following rights, both individually and on behalf of my group, to all of the foregoing entities identified above, including their legal representatives and assigns:
- a) the unrestricted right and permission to copyright and use, re-use, publish, republish, and reproduce any photographic portraits, pictures, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of my group’s participation in the event without restriction as to changes or transformations in image or sound, made through any and all media now or hereafter known, for any other purpose whatsoever.
- b) the unrestricted right and permission to use any photographic portraits, pictures, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any purpose, including without limitation any television/radio/web/print advertising and promotion for future Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k or Sports Backers events.
I hereby affirm that I have read the above Waiver, Release and Acknowledgement prior to its execution, and I fully understand the contents thereof. This agreement is the entire agreement of the parties hereto and shall be binding upon me and my group.
