Robert S. Ukrop
Chairman and CEO, Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods
Bobby is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods, a producer of premium-quality, chilled-prepared foods and baked goods.
He began his business career as a courtesy clerk at Ukrop’s Super Markets, Inc. while attending George Wythe High School. A 1969 graduate from the University of Richmond and a 1972 graduate of the Darden School at the University of Virginia, Bobby had a 40-year career at Ukrop’s before starting Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods in February 2010 with his sons-in-laws Scott Aronson and Chris Kantner.
Bobby is actively involved in the community including: a co-founder and past president of Sports Backers; chair of the Greater Richmond Aquatics Partnership; serves on the boards of The Greater Richmond Partnership, Collegiate School, VCU School of Business Foundation, Lansing Building Products; and is on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army.
Bobby enjoys golf and swimming. He is a 5th grade Sunday School teacher at Second Baptist. Bobby and his wife, Jayne, have four children and eleven grandchildren.
