Call Federal Marathon, Jr. Set for October 24th

Online registration for the fourth-annual Call Federal Marathon, Jr., is set to close at 11:59pm tonight, October 22. Currently there are almost 1,000 kids, many of whom take part in Kids Run RVA programs in their schools and communities, signed up to participate. Walk-up registration will be available on race day at Byrd Park for the event, which will feature two distance options: a 0.5-mile course and a 1-mile course.

Registration for the Call Federal Marathon, Jr., which is part of the Anthem Richmond Marathon, includes a participant t-shirt, finisher medal, post-race food, and an exciting race festival featuring photo booths, vendor activities, mascots, and live music from renowned artist and local favorite Susan Greenbaum. The festival runs from 10:00am-2:00pm, with the half-mile distance starting at 12:00pm, and the one-mile distance taking off at 12:15pm.

Saturday, October 24

10:00am:  Race festival, registration, costume contest check-in, and packet pick up begins at Byrd Park

10:30am:  Live music from Susan Greenbaum begins

11:30am:  Warm up for 0.5-mile and 1-mile distances led by American Family Fitness

12:00pm:  0.5-mile distance starts

12:15pm:  1-mile distance starts

2:00pm:     Race festival ends
