Volunteers are the backbone of our organization. With the help of thousands of volunteers, the Sports Backers are able to host many successful events year after year. Volunteering at our events can provide your group or organization with community service hours. We welcome High School and College groups, Scouting Troops, Civic Organizations, Athletic Teams, Church Groups, Businesses and anyone looking to come help out and have fun!

Throughout the year we have many volunteer opportunities at events such as the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k, the National Duathlon Festival, the James River Adventure Games, the U.S. Army 3 0n 3 Basketball Tournament, the Patrick Henry Half Marathon, the McDonald’s X-Country Festival at Maymont and the SunTrust Richmond Marathon.  If you are interested in volunteering, please click on the link below and you will find the events that we are currently seeking volunteers for.  This list will be updated periodically to include our most upcoming events.
