RICHMOND, VA – The Sports Backers announced today that registration for the third annual Connects Federal Credit Union Corporate 4 Miler is now open. This 4-mile corporate run/walk will be held at the Innsbrook Office Park finishing on Dominion’s campus on Thursday evening, June 7. This event is a perfect opportunity for employers to promote the message of employee health and wellness.
“Businesses are playing an integral role in Richmond’s Active RVA movement. Encouraging a healthy workplace and providing fun and engaging opportunities for employees to get active together is a trend that will lead to lower healthcare costs, less sick days, increased productivity and positive morale in the office,” said race director Lisa Randolph.
At the Connects Federal Credit Union Corporate 4-Miler, you can promote health in the workplace and build corporate pride - or just use it as an excuse to head outdoors for a great summer night with friends. With post-event festivities with featuring food, drinks, live music and fun, it's quickly grown into Richmond’s biggest office party.
There will be no individual timing in this event, encouraging runners and walkers alike to participate. Companies may register an unlimited number of participants, and spouses and friends of participants are invited to partake in the festivities as well. To add to the social aspect of the event, employers can rent tents on event day to serve as a company headquarters where employees can gather before and after the run.
