Sports Backers, the nationally acclaimed non-profit fitness advocacy organization, seeks a full-time Retail Manager with 1-3 years of experience. This position oversees retail sales at all Sports Backers events including the Anthem Richmond Marathon, Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k, and Dominion Riverrock. This includes working to design, order, display, and sell all merchandise. This position will manage the organization’s online store, including fulfillment of all online orders. Additional duties include the ordering of all event shirts, finisher items, and awards.
Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record in retail sales, inventory control, and merchandising. Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as with a team. Strong organizational and communication skills are a must. A personal passion for the active lifestyle, preferably in running, biking, swimming, or similar endurance sport, is required along with a bachelor’s degree or higher.
