Maymont is a cross country runner’s dream. From the lavish 1893 Maymont House to the scenic wildlife areas that house bison, bald eagles, deer, bears and other animals, the estate is the perfect backdrop for a fall race. You couldn’t ask for a better place to host one of the country’s premier cross country festivals.

With an open 5k, an 8-mile trail run, an elementary school 1-miler, a middle school 3k and a competitive high school invitational, the Maymont X-Country Festival has something for everyone.

Event Charity: Bike/Walk RVA

The Bike Walk RVA advocacy program is committed to making greater Richmond one of the most bicycle and pedestrian-friendly regions in the country. With your help, we can build more off-road trails throughout the region to promote walking, running, hiking and biking. We will also be working to encourage the construction of more paved multi-use trails, sidewalks and bike lanes in the Richmond Region. Please join our efforts by showing your support for Bike Walk RVA!

Schools must register by September 16.
Individuals may print out an entry form and mail it in with payment by September 24.
