The Richmond Liberty Trail was created in downtown Richmond in 2013 as a permanent walking route for pedestrians to connect a number of downtown Richmond’s historic sites, attractions and neighborhoods, including 15 national historic landmarks.

Join guides from the Valentine to explore historic sites on a 2-mile section of the Richmond Liberty Trail.  Starting at the State Capitol, the walk will go down Main Street by the First Freedom Center then curve northwards along the last leg of the Slave Trail into Court End, the neighborhood of the White House of the Confederacy and the 1812 John Wickham House, before returning to explore the Capitol area and grounds.
