Help Combat Childhood Obesity
The Fit For Life Program promotes the benefits of a healthy, active lifestyle to elementary and middle school-aged students. The Sports Backers developed this free incentive-based exercise program to motivate youth to become more physically active and to build their self-confidence. The ten-week program allows for teachers, volunteers, and parents to take the initiative to get kids started in the program. Participants track their progress on a Running Log (coloring sheet) and receive incentive prizes along the way. Those who complete the entire program may choose to run their final mile at the First Market Mile Kids Run on March 28, 2009. For more information on the Fit For Life program, click here.
