Kids
ages 5-12 will want to take part in this exciting event. The First
Market Mile Kids Run begins prior to the Ukrop’s Monument
Avenue10k and features all of the same excitement.
Participants
will each get a t-shirt and race number and will all line up for
the starters gun in waves based on age. The new course starts
on Cathedral Place and takes them up Park Ave. to Lombardy St.,
around Stuart Circle and down Franklin Street to Monroe Park.
Youngsters will cross the same finish line as the 10k, where they
will be greeted by cheers from the crowd and awarded with commemorative
finishers’ medals. Then it’s on to post-race food
and the Minute Maid Race Festival.
Be
part of the excitement. Register for the First Market Mile
today!
