We have a simple
way for you to raise funds and make the students at your school
healthier at the same time by participating in the Performance
Food Group 10K Healthy School Challenge. The 10K Healthy School
Challenge is a contest to see what middle school or high school
can have the most students sign up for the award-winning Ukrop’s
Monument Avenue 10k which takes place on Saturday, April 5. All
you have to do is sign up your club as the official group working
on the project from your school. After that it is up to the students
to sign up to participate in the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue
10k (6.2 miles).
Follow
these 4 easy steps:
- Register
your school group
- Encourage
classmates to enter 10k
- Get
free training t-shirts
- Win
money for your school group
Register
your school group
In order to qualify for the cash prizes and to register your group,
please complete the 10k
Healthy School Challenge registration form and return it to
us by Friday, March 7. Only one group will be
allowed to represent each school and we will accept the first
officially-affiliated group that submits the completed form from
each school, so please keep that in mind as you consider participating.
Encourage
classmates to enter the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10k
Students are responsible for entering
online or by picking up a brochure and mailing in their entry
and payment. The students must enter their school’s name
when they register. For more information about
the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k, click
here.
If you would like
to distribute brochures about the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue
10k to the students at your school, please email us at one of
the addressed below and we will get them to you.
Get
free training team t-shirts
The Sports Backers are providing t-shirts to participants in the
Healthy School Challenge that have signed up for the Ukrop’s
Monument Avenue 10k by March 7, 2008. All students participating
in the competition will receive a HSC t-shirt. But, if your school
has more than 50 students registered by March 7, 2008, you will
receive a customized t-shirt with your school color and name on
it. For more information, click
here.
Win
money for your school group
